Studio Deidre is a London UK based portrait studio specialising in newborn, baby, and child photography. Professional photographer Deidre Sorensen aims to create timeless yet modern portraits of babies and families. She particularly works with newborns in the first few weeks of life, creating gorgeous, natural photographs of the baby and also often of the mother and child, celebrating both the birth and the start of motherhood.

We offer single shoots for mums-to-be, newborns, babies and families, as well as multiple shoot packages, holiday card packages, and bespoke gift certificates. The “first-year-of-life package”, for example, includes several shoots covering key points throughout the baby’s first year of life – as a sleeping newborn, as an awake small baby, as a sitting and smiling baby, as a playful and crawling young baby, and finally as a confident baby on the cusp of becoming a toddler. We also sometimes add a pregnancy or maternity shoot at the start of the package, capturing the magical moment in a woman’s life as her body changes and she becomes a mother. Often the parents are included in some of the baby images, including the earliest newborn photographs. The resulting images can be collected in albums or keepsake boxes, shared with friends and family as framed prints, or printed as high-quality photo books. It’s a great way to capture the entire first year experience, which otherwise passes so quickly – and to do so while maintaining the same creative style and tone throughout.

While we occasionally shoot on-location, the vast majority of the shoots are done in our London home studio. It is fully set up for professional photography, with all the required props and lights to ensure we get the most exquisite shots every time. Our studio also has floor-to-ceiling windows allowing us to shoot with natural light much of the time. The studio has a sitting room, full kitchen and full bathroom, so it’s a comfortable and familiar environment that lends itself perfectly to family, child, and baby photography. The environment, combined with Deidre Sorensen's personal style, also puts our clients at ease … very natural, organic, and relaxed.

The studio is located in Central West London, just off Gloucester Road. It is easily accessible by car, with street parking outside and nearby. It is also extremely easy to access via public transport, and is a short walk from Gloucester Road underground station, with High Street Kensington tube station also not far away. The studio is particularly convenient for residents of Kensington and Chelsea, Knightsbridge and Belgravia.

While we mostly work with private clients, we are also available for commercial shoots. Deidre Sorensen is a full member of the London-based Association of Photographers.
